Dental Insurance Deerfield
Lower the Cost of Tooth-Saving Treatment
Lots of general dentists welcome dental insurance, but when it comes to specialists, it is rare to find a practice that accepts benefits. Here at MeTa Endodontics in Deerfield, we are proud to be different. We are happy to welcome dental insurance, and we are even in-network with some of the most popular plans. Indeed, we want to help you manage the cost of tooth-saving treatment! How can you maximize your coverage in our office? Continue reading below to find out.
How Dental Insurance Works
Every dental insurance plan is unique, so we encourage you to look into the details of your policy to find out how it applies to various services. In the meantime, here is a general overview of the coverage that is standard with many PPO plans:
- Preventive care is usually 100% covered.
- Basic services are often 80% covered.
- Major services may be up to 50% covered.
Root canal therapy is usually classified as a major service, but there are a few plans that categorize it as a basic treatment. Other services provided in our office, such as endodontic retreatment and endodontic microsurgery, will likely be classified as major services if your plan provides coverage for them.
What Is the Difference Between Dental & Medical Insurance?
Your oral health has a profound impact on your overall wellness, so it might seem strange that medical and dental insurance are different. Indeed, these policies serve separate functions. Whereas medical insurance is great for things like your annual physical and management of chronic diseases, dental insurance is exclusively for services that keep your smile in great shape. That is why it is much more likely to cover our services than any regular health insurance plan.
In-Network vs. Out-of-Network
Whether we are in your insurance network or outside of it, we invite you to find out how we can help you take full advantage of your benefits.
In-Network Coverage
If we are in-network with an insurance plan, it means we have a contract that manages fees and encourages a certain standard of care. Often, out-of-pocket costs are lowest at in-network providers.
Our team is proudly in-network with:
- Delta Dental
- Aetna
- BlueCross BlueShield
- Cigna
- GEHA
- Guardian
- Humana
- MetLife
- UnitedHealthcare
- And Many More!
Out-of-Network
Remember that PPO plans can be used at any dentist’s or specialist’s office, regardless of network status. We welcome out-of-network patients, and you might be pleasantly surprised by how much you can save! And remember, the most important thing is to choose a practice that will provide excellent service. Top-quality care is always more important than network status!
